According to the secretary in the science and technology of the Government of Rio de Janeiro Aleshandry Cardoza, we are talking about covering the wireless Internet throughout the city by 2010.

"We cannot yet say what specific technology will be used, but the existing experience should help us," he said.

An experienced project of this kind under the name "Digital Embankment" started in Rio in 2007, long before the election of the city by the venue of the Olympics.
