The head of the Magate arrived in Iran. But he will not go to the factory in Kuma

The General Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Muhammad al-Baradei arrived today in Tehran on a brief visit, during which he would conduct negotiations with the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi.

The main topic on them is expected to be the approval of the date of the inspection of the new Iranian enrichment of Uranus near the city of Kum.

Iran was informed about the existence of this object on September 21. According to the Iranian officials, this was done in a timely manner and even premature - not 6 months before loading nuclear material, as the Magate rules require, but 1.5 years. Nevertheless, the message about the new plant in Iran caused a wide resonance in the world and the concern of the leaders of many states.

From the very beginning, the official Tehran resolutely rejected the statement of the "secrecy of the new object." President Iri Mahmud Ahmadi Nezhad said at the end of last week that he did not see any obstacles to access to this Magate inspectors. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Manechekhr Motaki, in turn, assured that there is still no equipment at the new factory.

On Thursday, in Geneva, negotiations between Iran and the “six” of international intermediaries to resolve the Iranian nuclear problem resumed in July last year. At consultations, the Iranian side promised to allow the IAEA inspectors to visit the plant near Kuma over the next two weeks.

According to Iranian sources, no specific objects during a visit, which, in all likelihood, will end on Sunday, Muhammad al-Baradei will not visit. Over the past 6 years, this is already his seventh visit to the Islamic Republic, reports ITAR-TASS.
