British Airways reduces 1700 employees

Since the end of November, about 1000 flight workers retire at their own free will, and about 3,000 other employees of the company will switch to a part -time working day from the end of November.

The company's statement says that without these forced measures it will continue to endure losses. But the Unite union, which consist of employees of BA, does not agree with the decision to reduce staff.

British Airways has already offered its employees to work either for a month last summer, or go on an unpaid vacation, or go to an incomplete rate. In addition, the company canceled breakfast on short routes.
