It is enough just to choose the most convenient means of transportation. At the end of the trip, the bike returns to the nearest parking lot.

The founders of the company assured that the future of Bixi seems to them quite successful. That is why they decided not to stop there. So, soon it will be possible to use online notification of users about the availability of free bicycles at the nearest parking lot. A special RFID sensor will be built into each such bike.

Bixi is currently priced at CAD 78. And that's just the annual membership fee, which includes a free 30-minute ride on a rental bike. After that, the cost of an hour increases to $12.

It is rather difficult to assess the prospects for the development of such a bicycle taxi in Moscow and other megacities of the country. Russian roads are not equipped for cycling. At the same time, the European government is doing its best to reduce the number of vehicles on the roads. So for this, bicycle paths were specially designed.
