Director of the disco in Pervouralsk, where 4 people were killed in March, was charged

The Pervouralsky Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the SCP of the Russian Federation for the Sverdlovsk Region charged in the case of the death of four people in a crush at a disco, Interfax reports.

According to the SCP, the director of the Hollywood entertainment institution, Alexei Sechkin, is accused under two articles: under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence) and part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the provision of services that do not comply with the requirements of the death of two or more persons). Currently, investigative actions are being carried out in the case.

Recall that the tragedy occurred in Pervouralsk on Saturday evening, March 21, 2009. At the entrance to the Hollywood disco at the local shopping and entertainment center of the Capella, three tenth graders - Albina Topalova, Nastya Yakovlev and Katya Selyanina died as a result of the crush. Together with high school students, the 30-year-old guard Konstantin Koshkin, who tried to save the fallen teenagers from the onslaught of the crowd, also died. The reason for the crush was that the leadership of the disco announced a free entrance to the dance floor in the first half an hour of its work. About 10 more people received various injuries.

On the fact of the death of four people , a criminal case has been instituted under Article 109 (infliction of death by negligence) and part 3 of article 238 (provision of services that do not meet security requirements) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Later, the forensic medical examination confirmed that four dead died from suffocation.
