A rally against politics in modern Russia will be held in Moscow on October 30

A rally against political repression and defending the victims of modern political persecution in Russia will be held in Moscow on October 30. The rally will take place next to the Pure Prudy metro station from 19:00 to 20:30 on the day of the political prisoner, the arrangers report.

The organizers of the rally were the Union of Solidarity with the political prisoners, the MGO "Solidarity", the united civil front, the PC "Memorial", the All -Russian movement "For Human Rights". Requirements of the participants of the event to the authorities: immediate liberation of prisoners of conscience; revision of the cases of all political prisoners; revision of the cases of convicts under Article 282 of the Criminal Code ("Infinition of the Retern"); The abolition of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code ("Extremism").

The organizers of the rally believe that the political prisoners are in today's Russia, cases are falsified on charges and condemn political and civil activists, cases against scientists, doctors, veterinarians, managers, military, and believers are being freathed with “demonstrative campaigns”.

The legislation on terrorism and extremism, according to protesters, finds its application not in the fight against terrorists and extremists, but in the persecution and intimidation of "objectionable", and criminal and administrative legislation are applied selectively, accusatory decisions and sentences are planned before the start of the hearing. The UPO with this, while “objectionable” is practically impossible or due to the imposed transaction with conscience, the rejection of beliefs, the organizers indicate.
