The Ministry of Health of Ukraine confirmed the death of 53 people from the flu epidemic. At the same time, it is not specified how many people became victims of the “pork” flu. The day before, Viktor Yushchenko announced 48 dead. In total, according to the agency, 184 thousand 919 people fell ill in Ukraine, and 7 thousand 383 people were hospitalized.

The governments of Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Romania have already decided to provide Ukraine with humanitarian aid to eliminate the consequences of the influenza epidemic, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said. Slovakia directs 200 thousand gauze medical masks, Hungary - 10 thousand doses of vaccines for preventive vaccination from viral infection. The first batch of cargo has already been directed from Poland to Lviv - respirators, masks, Tamiflu drug, overalls and special glasses. Poland is ready to conduct 50 tests for free to determine the type of virus spreading in Ukraine. A batch of masks will also come from Romania.

At night, the An-12 aircraft from Switzerland at night 300,000 doses of the drug Tamiflu, intended for the treatment of A/H1N1, delivered from Switzerland. This amount is “quite enough to ensure all hospitals and ambulance of Ukraine, the president’s press service said.

The head of the President’s Secretariat Vera Ulyanchenko, who met the aircraft along with Yulia Tymoshenko and the head of the Foreign Ministry Peter Poroshenko, expressed the hope that the presence of the prime minister at the airport would contribute to the most rapidly molestation of drugs and their operational delivery to all regions of Ukraine, primarily in those that were announced in connection with the influenza epidemic.
