Short List List "Nose"

At the 3rd Kryakke (III Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair), which is held by the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation, together with the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a short list of the Literary Prize "Nose" was announced.

The list includes:

- Andrey Avostetsaturov. "People in the bare";

- Tatyana Bocharova. "Novocherkassk: Blood Half";

- Lev Gursky. "Roman Arbitman";

- Sergey Nosov. “The secret life of St. Petersburg monuments”;

- Andrey Stepanov. “Tales are not about people”;

- Elena Eltang. "Stone maples."

The laureate will be selected in late January. The winner will receive 700 thousand rubles, finalists - 40 thousand each, the holder of the prize of the audience sympathies - 200 thousand.

The “nose” award (deciphered as a “new literature”, then as “new sociality”) was founded by the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation in March 2009. The task of the award was "identifying and supporting new trends in artistic literature in Russian." It is intended so far only for prose writers.

An approximate understanding of "new trends" can give a list of the jury of the prize. Her president is Nicolas Svanidze, he is one of the jury members. In addition, the jury includes the poet and critic Elena Fanailova, writer and journalist Kirill Kobrin, journalist Vladislav Tolstov, philologist and cultural historian Mark Lipovetsky and sociologist Alexei Levinson (chairman of the jury). However, Svanidze did not reach Krasnoyarsk.
