Ramzan Kadyrov became Major General of Police

The President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov was awarded the special title of Major General of the police, Interfax was told on Wednesday in his administration. They explained that "this high rank marks Kadyrov’s merits in the organization and conduct of special operations against participants in illegal armed groups."

Kadyrov constantly personally prepares special operations and leads them both in Grozny and in a mountainous-lezing area. “Despite the threat of personal security, he is always among military personnel, police officers and special services involved in special matters against NVF members,” the representative of the presidential administration emphasized.
