The massacre accompanied by shooting occurred on the island of Saipan, which belongs to the Mariana archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. The handyman shot more than ten people, after which he performed suicide.

According to preliminary data, at least 9 people became victims of the criminal, of which four died. Among the dead were a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl.

According to the police, the attacker opened the shooting twice, and this happened in different parts of Sipan. First, he began to shoot people in a resort place popular among tourists, driving up there at his van. The goal of the criminal was a group of travelers from South Korea. One of them - a 39 -year -old man - was seriously injured and is in critical condition. Seven of his companions escaped relatively easily, having received less serious wounds.

After that, the suicide went to the shooting area, where he again opened fire to defeat, killing two men and children.

After the incident, all schools were closed by local authorities, Rosbalt reports. The local radio station reports that "everything is under control," and calls for the population to calm.
