A 15-year-old schoolgirl who committed a brutal murder of a 9-year-old girl appeared before the court of Missouri. According to the defendant, she went to this atrocity out of pure curiosity - she wanted to know how the killer was feeling.

A terrible crime was committed by a schoolgirl Alice Bustamant from the city of Jefferson City, reports Associated Press. In the past environment, the judge of the district Cole ruled that the girl would be judged as an adult. A few hours later, Alice was charged with intentional murder using cold weapons. She faces a life imprisonment without the right to parole.

Alice Bustamant carefully prepared for the crime, cold -blooded choosing the optimal moment for the attack. The girl dug two pits in advance, who were supposed to play the role of the grave, and then went to school for a whole week, choosing a suitable time for reprisal against the nine -year -old neighbor Elizabeth Olten.

On October 21, without any apparent reason, Alice strangled the girl, cut her throat and pierced her body with a knife.

Subsequently, at one of the interrogations, Alice mentioned the Sergeant of the road-patrol police Missouri David District that "she wanted to know the feelings that a person experiences in a similar situation."

The girl confessed to the murder on October 23. Alice herself took the police to the place where she reliably hid the corpse of Elizabeth. Her remains were buried in a wooded area near St. Martins-a small town west of Jefferson-City.

Prior to this, hundreds of volunteers combed the territory of Jefferson City and its environs in the hope of finding a missing girl, but everything was in vain.

There was a case when Bustamant deceived her parents: she declared that she would go to the church for the holiday, and she went to a concert in St. Louis, to which she needed to go for about two hours. Another time, she ran away from home and spent the night in the forest. However, such misconduct and petty mischief are unlikely to be somehow connected with the later desire to kill a small neighbor.

The lawyer of the defendant Kurt Valentine said that his client tried to commit suicide immediately after the arrest. Alice tried to scratch her veins with nails. The defender also protested the decision to judge Bustant as an adult. In his opinion, in an ordinary prison among adults, the schoolgirl will be doomed to death: she will either be killed by cellmates or commit suicide.

“We turn away from the child and sign Alice’s death sentence,” Valentine concluded.

However, the judge of Cole John Betem insisted on his decision, motivating him with the severity of Alice's act. Bitema was supported by the official of the juvenile department Bill Hyberly, according to which in the entire state of Missouri there are simply no juvenile prisons, providing prisoners with a high level of security, especially for girls.

In particular, in children's correctional institutions there is no round -the -clock supervision of prisoners.

Meanwhile, new shocking details appear in the case. On the YouTube portal, Bustamant described her hobbies in this way: I like to "kill people" and "cut". Even if you calculate this with an ordinary teenage shocking and an exaggeration, then in this case the phrase turned out to be prophetic: Alice really stabbed a fourth -grader.
