
The Russian Football Union sent official letters to the heads of the First Channel and Hotel Marriott Grand with a request to give an explanation about the television system shown on December 3 in the program "Man and Law", according to the official website of the RFU. In the plot, an anonymous employee "Marriott" said that the Russian national team players drink before the matches.
In the letters signed by the acting President of the RFU Nikita Simonyan, the Union requires clarification about the reliability of the information shown in the program. After receiving an answer, the RFU "will determine the position on measures to protect the honor and dignity of football players," the organization’s website says.
The RFU website also reports on holding a meeting with the participation of the team coaches who comment on what happened. When and in what format the meeting will take place, is not specified. It is reported that this will happen "in the near future."
