Two -thirds of the US Protestant priests consider Islam a dangerous religion. These are the survey data conducted by the Baptist organization Lifeway Research among more than 1000 American priests.

45% of them completely agree with the assertion that “Islam is a dangerous religion”, and 21% are more likely to agree than disagree, the Christian Post reports. However, the fact that the Protestantism and Islam of religion competing completely explains such results, said the director of Lifeway Research Ed Steader.

The publication writes that another study conducted by the sociological center of the Pew Research Center confirms these results: 38% of Americans are sure that Islam, unlike other religions, encourages violence.

However, Ed Steader notes that the clergy, speaking of the "danger" of Islam, did not mean the concept of "violence". The "dangerous" in this case also means the danger of "spiritual influence."
