
In Moscow, in the 54th year of life, Yegor Gaidar died. According to RIA Novosti, a source in medical circles, the cause of death was a broken thrombus. Death occurred at about 8.00 on Wednesday. The date of farewell and the funeral has not yet been determined. According to Interfax , the relatives and friends of Gaidars will ask the city hall permission to burial in the Novodevichy cemetery.
Gaidar was one of the ideologists and leaders of radical economic reforms of the early 90s in Russia.
In 1991-1994, Gaidar held high posts in the Russian government, including performed the duties of the Prime Minister. He was a deputy of the State Duma of the first (1993-1995) and the third (1999-2003) convocations.
In recent years, he was the director of the Institute of Economics of the Transition period, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Analytical Center for Agro -Volotal Economics.
