I assure you that financial monitoring is being carried out for both the Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant and all large and city-forming enterprises and support is provided within the capabilities of the government. The situation at KCCHK specifically is, of course, not ideal, but the enterprise is certainly not in a pre-bankruptcy state. And I think there are no prerequisites for a sharp deterioration of the situation. Regarding the environmental situation, we also monitor and regularly communicate with local environmentalists. I won’t say that the situation is ideal, but there is also no reason for panic or statements about an environmental disaster.

I could, of course, talk in detail about all the measures we are taking to support our agricultural producers. But I don’t see the point in throwing out numbers - with minimal desire, all this information can be easily found. Of course, the regional budget should probably allocate more money to support this industry - but our capabilities are very limited. However, we consider agriculture to be one of the priority sectors and this is enshrined in our strategy. The goal is to make it a high-tech industry. This is also what the efforts of the state are aimed at, which supports, first of all, those who themselves strive to become more effective.

Another point from your question is the problem of small settlements. Just one figure - about 72% of all settlements in the Kirov region have a population of less than 50 people. We honestly say that the costs of maintaining infrastructure in such areas are ineffective. By and large, we are simply wasting budget funds. Our understanding of work in this direction is described in detail in the Region Development Strategy. Together with the municipal authorities, we will look at the situation in each specific locality and create a supporting framework for the social network.

I am a convinced supporter of the idea that a private owner is more effective than a state owner. But I do not have the task of selling all regional enterprises as soon as possible. The second question is extremely vague, so I will answer the same way - I will build relationships with any investors with joy and with the expectation of a maximum influx of investment into the region.

Definitely no one is “stifling” the opposition. We regularly have someone rally next to the government: the communists protested for a month against the possible return of the historical name of Vyatka to the city, the LDPR and A Just Russia protested against increasing the transport tax, etc. And no one banned them or dispersed them. Moreover, I welcome all constructive manifestations of civic engagement. For example, I regularly meet with the authors of “open letters” to me - this form of communication with the authorities in the Kirov region is very popular. Yes, this often takes a lot of time, but I am sure that only through attempts at constructive dialogue can we establish normal interaction between government and society.

Alexey [11.12 12:06] Nikita Yuryevich, why are there still no honest (at least relatively) people in Kirov, active and young, who understand the situation and have an idea of what needs to be done to develop the region? Thank you.

It seems to me that Dmitry Medvedev correctly identified the main problems of Russia: corruption, economic backwardness and paternalistic sentiments. I put paternalistic sentiments first. If we manage to get rid of the paternalistic complex, increase civic activity and form civil society institutions, we will get an intolerant attitude towards corruption and a large number of enterprising people capable of overcoming economic backwardness. I talk a lot about the relationship between government and society and will not repeat myself again. And the laws in the Kirov region are respected.
