This I mean that the concept of the norm is shifting quite quickly. In just a month, the brains are rebuilt, and the head, which automatically turned to the left when crossing the street, begins to turn right by itself ...

And in the middle of this vacation period, at a concert in Sydney, you get a note: “Why is the Russian public not seeking an investigation into the murder of Shchekochikhin?” - and you stand, not knowing from what place to answer.

Because this note was written in good Russian by an Australian. A former Muscovite, Leningrader or Odessa resident, whose brains during his life upside down in the Southern Hemisphere, where spring is in November, and look right is written on the pavement, have completely rebuilt. And he now proceeds from the fact that public opinion is a lever for changing state policy, and this lever is in the hands of the citizens of the country, and they know how to use it ...

In Sydney and the surrounding area, it's twice two, like spring in November.

And the author of the note, in essence, has nothing to answer me. Or it is necessary to perform a trepanation of the skull without anesthesia, returning its consciousness, which has flown so far along with the body, back to our coordinate system. And ask, for example: why did the Soviet public not seek an investigation into the execution in Novocherkassk?

It seems worth trying to answer this childish question - in order to understand more clearly where we are today. That is, what's in the ass - it seems that they already understand this in the presidential administration, but the depth is currently the subject of discussion.

The first similarity / difference between the two public silences: the Soviet public did not know about the execution in Novocherkassk. That is, some waves of word of mouth reached some part of the public, but the knowledge was small and fuzzy, at the level - something bad happened ... The same is observed in the case of the murder of Shchekochikhin (Nord-Ost, Beslan) , but with an important correction: it turned out that we don't want to know!

Yes, there are relatively few Internet users, where deadly information on these episodes is freely available, but in absolute terms, this is a huge potential, and a tenth of Moscow “users”, having gone out into the street (Bolshaya Dmitrovka, for example, to the Prosecutor General’s Office), could easily have ensured that the killers were where the killers should be. And people who do not want to notice direct evidence have ceased to head the Prosecutor General's Office.

But almost no one goes outside. And here, in the Novocherkassk-Shchekochikhin pair, a number of social similarities emerge almost without differences: the great domestic fear, indifference, the habit of violence, public identification reduced to dangerous limits ... And I note that we are not talking about the notorious "people", in which one and a half Centuries ago there were unfortunate Narodniks (bribes are smooth from the dark and screwed up), no: we are talking about a “clean” public!

About white, damn it, collars, about the average, you see, class ...

I'm afraid, compared to the times of Novocherkassk, we stepped back. Then it was still possible to attribute the triumphant dumbness to ignorance, to the ghost of Stalin, wandering around the country at night ...

Our current muteness is a conscious choice of a new generation. This is the choice of slaves flying business class to Lazurka or "economy class" to Antalya ... Slaves who insist on their right to slavery, who do not want to lift a finger to become free people.

What is Hecuba to them, what Shchekochikhin?

In Sydney, they are very perplexed about this.
