... Nobody thought that he would use these recordings for PR purposes. By the way, we only received these materials for analysis a month ago. To be honest, we thought he wouldn’t hand them over. No, he passed it on. But there is nothing essentially new there... The materials are approximately the same as those obtained as feedstock at the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences. but our product purity is much higher than his. In any case, we will study this substance using all possible methods, evaluate it and prepare an expert opinion.

S.M. Aldoshin: What Viktor Ivanovich showed us today, and the experiments in which we also took part, of course, makes a strong impression. There are a lot of requests to the Academy of Sciences... about all sorts of discoveries. These appeals also go to the Government, and very often the Government forwards them to the Academy of Sciences. And it is often written there that an independent examination is possible, but without the participation of the Academy of Sciences. Relations with Viktor Ivanovich were built differently from the very beginning. He is open to cooperation, and above all with the Academy of Sciences. He believes that there is a lot that is not understood in the phenomena that he discovered, and believes that only the Academy of Sciences can, by connecting its resources, understand these phenomena.

And the fact that today we all took part in this experiment once again convinced us that behind the phenomena that were demonstrated today (and with our participation), there is, of course, very serious science. But most importantly, behind them is the possibility of their practical application. And this is due to new materials.
I myself am a chemist by training and am involved in the creation of multifunctional materials. For me, the state of graphene that was obtained in today’s experiments is of very great interest from a scientific point of view... And it seems to me that such openness of Viktor Ivanovich will allow us to connect to these works.
The experiments we participated in today are very well reproduced. They are simple, they do not have that special know-how behind which there can be virtuosity, which replaces real phenomena with visible phenomena. And behind all these phenomena there is good fundamental science. And, of course, it seems to me that both the practical side and the fundamental side clearly go together here.
