Vitaly Ignatenko, General Director of the ITAR-TASS news agency, was unanimously elected as the first President of the Academy. Among the academicians are the legends of Russian journalism: Inna Rudenko, Vsevolod Ovchinnikov, Yasen Zasursky, Novaya Rost columnist Yuri Rost and other no less worthy masters of the word.
