Prokhorov will establish the production of low -budget city cars

The ONEXIM Group of Companies plans to establish the release of a low -budget city car. According to RIA Novosti, citing a press secretary of Prime Minister Dmitry Peskov, the owner of the group Mikhail Prokhorov told about this at a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

"Prokhorov informed the chairman of the government on the development of a new project to launch production on a fundamentally new basis of a low -budget city car using advanced technologies," Peskov said.

Earlier, the release of a budget car in Russia was announced by the Volkswagen concern. Such a machine was designed specifically for our market, and its production at the company's enterprise in Kaluga will begin a few months later.

In addition, the Volga Automobile Plant plans to develop a new generation of a budget car on the basis of the Logan model, together with Renault.
