The criminal case against the head of the Internet library "Antikompromat" and the president of the "Panorama" center Vladimir Pribylovsky has been discontinued, RIA Novosti reports . The corresponding decision was made back in May 2009, but Pribylovsky’s lawyer Irina Khrunova received it by fax only the other day.

Vladimir Pribylovsky was suspected of disclosing information constituting an investigative secret on the Anti-Kompromat website, which he owned. According to the materials of the now closed case, the crime allegedly occurred on June 15, 2007, despite the fact that Pribylovsky, being involved in another criminal case as a witness, was warned against disclosure.

However, Pribylovsky himself stated that he did not know what information he was suspected of divulging. According to the head of the online library, the platform where the controversial entry could have been made is most likely not the Antikompromat website, but the antikompromat blog on the LiveJournal service. Meanwhile, this journal was destroyed as a result of a hacker attack in July 2008, and now it is impossible to establish the contents of the data allegedly disclosed by Pribylovsky.

According to Pribylovsky, the content of the anticompromat post could be connected either with the murder case of retired FSB Colonel General Anatoly Trofimov, or with the investigation into the extortion case against journalist Oleg Lurie .

The Antikompromat.ru website ceased operation in March 2007 after the Russian company that provided hosting services for the Internet resource decided to unilaterally cease cooperation with Pribylovsky. After some time, the site resumed operation, but in the international domain zone, at anticompromat.org.

The criminal case against the owner of the Antikompromat website has been closed
