MOST MOSCOW: "Disagent" created on the Tver "traffic jam", and drivers are unhappy

The opposition campaign on the triumphal square led to the formation of a car traffic jam, several hundred cars accumulated on the inside of the northwestern part of the garden ring, and drivers expressed dissatisfaction with the loud bundles of the craxons. This was announced on Sunday evening by the head of the information and public relations of the capital's Central Internal Affairs Directorate Viktor Biryukov.

"The traffic jam was formed, since citizens who arranged an event that were not agreed with the authorities gathered in this area. Some of them arranged provocations ... Now the situation is normalized, all provocateurs were detained and sent to the internal affairs departments to draw up protocols on administrative offenses with subsequent transfer to the court," the agency’s interlocutor said.

Earlier, the capital’s authorities refused to authorize the holding of the campaign of human rights activists and opposition in the triumph of the 31st article of the Constitution of the Russian Federation on freedom of assembly. The authorities explained their decision by the fact that the Winter Fun event would “take place on the square. In response, the opposition sued, as they consider this refusal unreasonable.

The first deputy head of the press service of the mayor and the government of Moscow, Alexander Khokhlov, on Sunday, stated in this regard that "it is not so important for them to conduct the declared rally, how much to create a conflict situation with the city authorities and law enforcement agencies." According to him, to hold a rally, oppositionists instead of the triumphal square were offered a choice of several sites in the center of the capital, in particular, Bolotnaya Square and the embankment of Taras Shevchenko.
