The authorities near Moscow had the mind not to merge the Khimki and Ramensky Saturn in one club. But Khimki still did not have a budget capable of holding the club in the Premier League. The KHL has not yet encountered default in clubs, although now the financial problems last season even had one of the most wealthy clubs in the country - the metropolitan Dynamo, did not have enough money for the KHL of the Voskresensky Chemist. In the event of such defaults, the football and hockey league should have at least small financial special funds that allow the clubs for a briefly lending to the time of searching for sponsors and investors. In addition, the leagues are headed by people with essential lobbying connections (this is especially true for the KHL, actually created by Gazprom by the largest Russian company). Therefore, the KHL is simply obliged to connect to the salvation of the Togliatti “Lada” - it is possible even as an agent for the search for investors. If Rostekhnologii does not have money for a team, you can try to find interested businessmen. True, the experience of moving the teams to another city after the owner of the owner, widely practiced in the NHL and NBA, is clearly not suitable here: it is fundamentally important to save the club in Togliatti, where hockey is very popular.
The functions of the football and hockey league as “salvation services” are very important for increasing their authority both among fans and among the teams themselves. Despite the fact that the rules for holding championships are the same for everyone, and teams with the most full wallets and influential owners cannot use any preferences, the leadership of the league should not be completely indifferent to the participants in tournaments. Each team playing in the Football Premier League or the KHL championship, its development, game, manner of behavior of the leadership of clubs and fans creates the image of the league as a whole. At the same time, the sports principle of rotation of the teams in the open league, which is football, or in closed hockey is the only possible. That is why the Russian football league can participate in the process of saving FC Moscow, and only if the attempt is unsuccessful, replace this club with the Vladikavkaz Alanya - the third medalist of last year’s tournament in the first division.
If every year even one Russian team of the highest hockey or football echelon will go bankrupt, this will become evidence of the weakness of the entire league as a whole. Moreover, the mechanisms of financing the teams of such a rank are still very fragile with us-this is either interested regional authorities that bend local sponsors or political burden on the largest companies. In both cases, financing is more forced than voluntary.
