Ksenia Sobchak became the shareholder of Euroset

Ksenia Sobchak acquired less than 0.1% of the company's shares, and, as she reported at a joint press conference with the President of Euroset Alexander Malis, the purchase amount did not exceed 1 million dollars. The seller was the structure of Alexander Mamut.

Malis emphasized that as a result of this transaction, the controlling stake in Euroset was preserved by Mamut. Sobchak, perhaps next year, will increase the share in Euroset if other shareholders of the company provide her with this opportunity. So far, the issue of buying additional shares from Mamut has not been discussed, Interfax reports.

“I wanted to make some investments,” the TV presenter said. “I have very high earnings now, I want to invest somewhere.” According to her, the possibilities of investing funds are now limited, since the "real estate market has collapsed", and she is not sure of the effectiveness of portfolio investments.

“Euroset” was chosen by her, as she is well acquainted with the leaders of the company and trusts them: “Alexander Malis and Alexander Mamut are my friends.” Now, although the size of the package does not allow to influence decision -making in the company, Sobchak will participate in its work, for example, in meetings of the compensation and audit committees.

Euroset is the largest Russian company for the sale of cell phones, digital cameras and other equipment. The number of Euroset salons in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and in Ukraine is about 4.236 thousand.

In the fall of 2008, the owners changed at Euroset: the founders of the network Yevgeny Chichvarkin and Timur Artemyev sold it to Alexander Mamut, and he soon lost 49.9%of the dollars for $ 226 million to the cellular operator Vimpelcom.
