"Livre D'artiste / The Artist's Book". "Turkestan avant-garde". In the 20s and 30s of the last century, when the Russian avant-garde was already on its way out in the center, unusually bright and original innovative works, imbued with local flavor, continued to be created in Central Asia, which can be united under the code name “Turkestan avant-garde.” The main part of the exhibition was the works of famous masters who connected their lives and work with Turkestan: A. "The whole world is a theater..." Engraving from the collection of M.F. Larionova. The exhibition of the series, dedicated to graphic collectors, introduces part of the large collection of Mikhail Larionov - Natalia Goncharova, which entered the Tretyakov Gallery in 1989. Mikhail Larionov collected European and Oriental engravings throughout his life. The exhibition, which brings together about 350 exhibits, will cover a wide range of topics (theater, dance, history of costume, sports, circus) and will show works of the 17th - mid-20th centuries from both the Russian and European schools, as well as Eastern countries.
