"Apple" became older

The fundamental agreement on the unification of the two political organizations was reached in October last year. About why the "older generation" decided to join Yabloko, told Radio Liberty Alexei Borshchenko , deputy chairman of this public organization:

- We decided to unite around a solution to the problems of the older generation. I do not find today in the political arena of Russia of those parties that are guides or may be the guides of those tasks, the ideas, the solutions to the problems that are faced with civil society. Neither "United Russia" is the right oligarchic party, nor the "fair Russia", which at one time torn the party of pensioners, taking only one and a half people from all Russian pensioners, not to mention our great -grandfathers, communists and the LDPR.

I hope that by joint efforts we will be able to win the elections of different levels, and, most importantly, to protect the rights of the elderly, to do this more efficiently than separately

- And what is common in the ideological platform of the Yabloko party and yours?

- At first, when the first proposal was made on this issue, and our first meeting took place, the first signing, we will say, intentions, many asked this question, and I had to turn all the eyes to the platform of the Political Party of Yabloko, which in my understanding has changed significantly in recent years. She did not move away from the principles of democracy, on the one hand, and on the other hand, she came closer to pressing social problems.

Recall that today the Yabloko party has already operated seven factions, including the Green Russia, created on the basis of the party of the same name, as well as the Soldier Mother faction. And now there will also be a fraction of pensioners. Here's what the meaning of unification with the "older generation" Leader of Yabloko Sergey Mitrokhin :

- The goals of the unification are the strengthening of the democratic forces of Russia, and on the other hand, the creation of such a political force that will really protect the rights of pensioners and achieve raising pensions. The level of social support of pensioners in Russia is extremely insufficient, so the former party of pensioners , which currently exists in the form of the "older generation" association, decided to join the Yabloko party. After there was an unsuccessful experience of creating the Fair Russia party, where the Party of Pensioners came, but was out of work in this party, they thought for a long time, chose a party that is most suitable from the standpoint of their program, ideology, and found the Yabloko party. I believe that this is a high assessment of our activities in the field of protecting the rights of pensioners. I hope that together we will be able to win the elections of different levels, and, most importantly, to protect the rights of the elderly, to do this more efficiently than separately. Better together.

According to Sergey Mitrokhin, on February 23 in Moscow, an apple action will be held near the Ministry of Defense in defense of the rights of military pensioners.
