Almost 30 people who suffered from terrorist attacks in the Moscow metro turned to the doctors over the past day for help. This was reported to ITAR-TASS today in the information department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

“Currently, 81 people remain in the treatment in 16 medical institutions in Moscow,” said the representative of the Ministry of Emergencies. “In addition, 27 people applied for outpatient assistance per day.” In total, as a result of two explosions, according to the Ministry of Emergencies, 121 people were injured and 40 died. The bodies of the two dead are still unnowaned.

Metal detectors can make the metro safer

The installation of metal detectors in the Moscow metro, where two terrorist attacks were committed on March 29, will increase safety and will not lead to a paralysis of the traffic flow, said Vladimir Vasiliev, chairman of the State Duma Committee, RIA Novosti reports.

“You can put a system of metal detectors, you can put a system of gas analyzers. This, of course, is very expensive, but security is the basis, the basis of the development of the economy, the basis of the development of the political system,” Vasiliev said on the air of the Vesti on Saturday program, which was broadcast to the Far Eastern regions of Russia.

“For example, they even say: here, they can apply plastic, it seems to be not nicknamed there. But those bolts that they carefully stuck there, pieces of reinforcement,“ they will call, ”the head of the State Duma committee said. Vasiliev believes that the installation of metal detectors in the subway does not paralyze the transport flow.

"Compliance with human rights is very important, there are no simple solutions. But if we (go), as we go, consistently, comprehensively solving issues, we will not allow either a violation of citizens' rights, nor infringement of interests, in particular, business," he said.

The deputy noted that it is necessary to strengthen the work with the personnel of transport enterprises. According to him, the Security Committee and the Transport Committee intend to propose to increase the responsibility of the staff, and this proposal supports a number of commercial structures.
