Against the director of the Irkutsk school, where the teacher was beaten, a criminal case was opened

The Investigative Committee for the Irkutsk Region opened a criminal case against the former school director number 1 of the city of Shelekhov, where students beat a 73-year-old teacher for several months.

Ex-director Irina Mikhailova is suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code (negligence), the message said on the website of the SCP of Russia.

The investigation established that from December 2009 to March 2010, students in the 9th grade of school number 1 Shelekhov caused physical and mental suffering by systematic beatings of a 73-year-old physical education teacher.

"The investigation believes that Mikhailova, knowing the tortures of the teacher, did not take any measures aimed at suppressing the unlawful actions of students. In addition, the school principal, violating his duties, did not report this to the higher management," the report said.

Currently, investigative actions are carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation of the criminal case continues.

Earlier, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the ICP in the Irkutsk region opened a criminal case under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture, up to seven years in prison) against one of the ninth graders, who, according to the investigation, participated in the beating of the teacher.

Recall that the incident became known relatively recently due to accident. The video of beating a teacher appeared on the Internet. The video captures how several teenagers in the gym beat a woman with their feet, drag on the floor.

It was reported that the teacher itself suffers from sclerosis, so she immediately forgot what happened. The teacher’s daughter applied to law enforcement agencies. Earlier it was reported that numerous bruises were discovered on the body of the victim. The day before, she left the hospital.
