Another Katyn tragedy

Katyn, the same Katyn, where exactly 70 years ago the NKVD bodies shot 4421 Polish officers, and in the spring of 1940 21857 - a place where history, contrary to the well-known saying, repeated itself twice in the form of a tragedy. Around 11 am on April 10, on approach to Smolensk, not reaching three hundred meters from the runway, in poor visibility conditions, a Tu-154 crashed to the ground, on board of which were Polish President Lech Kaczynski with his wife Maria Kaczynska and 87 other people (not counting crew) - members of the government, high-ranking officials, deputies of the Sejm and senators, senior army officers, clergymen, representatives of public organizations. All of them flew to mourning events in Katyn. And everyone died.
