On Saturday, another terrorist attack was committed in Kabardino-Balkaria, where the head of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic was killed as a result of an explosion. Yesterday, a large-scale special operation took place in Dagestan. There, security forces blocked the bandit group of Magomedali Vagabov - the same one whose wife, allegedly, staged one of the two explosions in the Moscow metro on March 29.As the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia said, on Friday afternoon in the village of Ekazhevo, in one of the private houses on Khidriev Street, security officers blocked three militants. When asked to surrender, they opened fire, as a result of which three FSB operatives were wounded. During the ensuing firefight, the house where the militants were hiding was almost completely destroyed by a powerful explosion. It remains unclear what caused it. As the UPC reported, the militants deliberately blew themselves up and everyone died.
About an hour later, when investigators began examining the scene, they were unexpectedly attacked again. According to preliminary data, a car stopped not far from the police cordon, from which a woman got out and headed towards the police. Having come close, she pulled out a pistol and shot at the head of the department of local police officers of the Nazran District Department of Internal Affairs, Ruslan Tsurov, who was nearby, who later died in the hospital. The terrorist was destroyed by return fire, but an explosive device, which, as it turned out, was hidden under her clothes, went off. As a result of the explosion, no one was injured except the terrorist.
The identity of the suicide bomber was established almost immediately from the found passport. As it turned out, this was the wife of one of the militants who died in the bombed house, a native of Grozny, 26-year-old Marina Evloeva, who had recently lived in the Nazran district of Ingushetia. As reported by the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, she was neither wanted nor registered as an adherent of Wahhabism.
The identities of the destroyed separatists were also established, but the FSB has so far named only two of them - Adam Korigov and Akhmed Tsaloev (who exactly is the husband of the suicide bomber is not yet known). Both of them were born in 1978 and lived in Ingushetia. According to the President of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Korigov headed the republic’s bandit underground, and Tsaloev was listed as missing. According to Mr. Evkurov, he recently personally met with Tsaloev’s parents: “I communicated with them and asked for assistance in finding this man so that he would return to the right path and, if there is something behind him, some crimes, so that he would serve his sentence, we would make concessions. But he was among those killed in this special operation.”
According to the intelligence services of Ingushetia, Tsaloev and Korigov were involved in a terrorist attack that took place a week ago near the police department building in the city of Karabulak. Then, during the morning formation, a man tried to enter the courtyard of the police department. Two police trainees on duty at the entrance detained him, after which the suicide bomber detonated a powerful bomb. And about half an hour later, a car filled with explosives, left nearby by the terrorists, went up in the air. As a result, two police officers died. Massive casualties were then avoided only because the operatives noticed the suspicious car in time and organized a cordon before the sappers arrived.
On Saturday evening, an explosion occurred in Kabardino-Balkaria. At about 7 o'clock in the evening in Nalchik, at the intersection of Keshokov and 2nd Taman Division streets, a Volga exploded, driven by the head of the criminal investigation department of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Zuber Shukaev. As reported by the regional Investigative Committee, according to preliminary data, the explosive device was attached under the bottom of the car. Its power was approximately 200 grams of TNT. As a result of the explosion, the colonel died on the spot. Besides him, his nephew was also in the car, but fortunately he was not injured.
And a large-scale special operation began in Dagestan yesterday. At about 7.30 in the Karabudakhkent region, in a forest near the village of Gubden, security forces blocked a bandit group of up to ten people. As the intelligence services suggest, Mogomedali Vagabov, whom operatives consider the leader of the Dagestan gang underground, may be among those surrounded.
Previously, information appeared that Vagabov was the husband of suicide bomber Maryam Sharipova, who blew herself up at the Lubyanka metro station on March 29. However, this information has not yet been officially confirmed by the intelligence services.
In addition, among the blocked militants, as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan believed, there could also be Maryam Sharipoy’s older brother, Anvar, who was put on the wanted list after the terrorist attacks in the capital’s metro. As soon as the special services learned the name of the suicide bomber at the Lubyanka, information appeared that Anwar could have been an accomplice in this explosion and could even allegedly force his sister to take this step. Shootings in the Gubden area continued all day yesterday, but by evening nothing was reported about the results of the special operation.
