In the Altai Territory, two boys brutally crippled and robbed the 85-year-old veteran of World War II. The criminals took his combat awards and 500 rubles as prey, and the injured front -line soldier later died in the hospital.
The victim of the robbers was Dmitry Timofeevich Egishin, who lived in the village of Osipenko (suburb of Barnaul). The police have already detained two boys at the age of 17 and 19, who are suspected of robbery, Life News reports.
The organizer of the attack was the former neighbor of the front -line soldier, who knew that Egoshin was living alone and therefore would easily rob him. The attacker even remembered when the old man receives a pension, so that immediately after the next payment, to visit the veteran of the Great Patriotic War.
On the night of April 23, trying not to make noise, the young people knocked out the window and penetrated the house. The former neighbor began to search the modest dwelling of the veteran, and his accomplice looked after the sleeping owner. At first, I managed to find a little - an old wallet with 500 rubles, so the search continued. However, the noise nevertheless woke Dmitry Timofeevich. And then one of the attackers hit it with a pipe, after which the criminals gathered prey and disappeared.
In addition to 500 rubles, robbers took six awards: the medal "For Courage", the Order of the Great Patriotic War II degree, three anniversary medals and a reward for 70 years of conscientious work. The thieves hoped to successfully sell the orders on the eve of the victory, but it was thanks to these medals of criminals that the criminal investigation officers found a day.
The very next day, the veteran stunned by the blow was discovered by her daughter, who came with her husband to visit her elderly father. Seeing a broken window and locked doors, relatives were very scared. The veteran hardly opened the door to his family and lost consciousness. Dmitry Timofeevich was taken on an ambulance to intensive care, where he died without regaining consciousness.
The suspects managed to sell the veteran awards to one of the buyers in the Dokuchaevo market for just five hundred rubles. The buyer is also installed by criminal investigators.
The intermediary did not have time to realize any of the bought awards and now they were seized with police officers. The stolen buyer is also facing criminal liability.
“The crime turned out to be impudent, suspects - arrogant and unprincipled,” they say in the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Altai Territory. “Young, healthy people attacked a defenseless veteran. After all, at the same age as they were now called up to the front. And these, with allowing us to say, descendants, their lives owed the generation of Dmitry Timofeevich.”
The police have no doubt that criminals are waiting for a strict punishment. “From the point of view of morality, what two young people committed is blasphemous. And they will be responsible for the law that was deed,” the department added.
We add that the 19-year-old suspect already has a conditional sentence for committing the theft.
Dmitry Timofeevich Sgorin fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War from 1943 to 1945: he was a military driver, a signalman, and met a victory in Czechoslovakia.
The veteran dreamed of walking at the 65th anniversary of Victory and this spring. The old man told how he was lucky when he miraculously saved at the front from bullets - but his stories were not destined to continue.
According to his daughter, Dmitry Timofeevich was preparing for the upcoming anniversary of victory. He knew that he would definitely be guessed and congratulated.
