Acting President of Poland arrived in Moscow

Acting President of Poland, Marshal of Sejm Bronislav Komorovsky arrived in Moscow for the celebration of the 65th anniversary of Victory.

Bronislav Komorovsky will meet in the Russian capital with President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in the Kremlin Palace. The head of the Russian state will transfer archival documents to him that shed light on the tragedy in Katyn, and also confirm Moscow’s fundamental position on the need for the maximum openness of the investigation of the causes of the April plane crash near Smolensk.

According to the Kremlin, "after a conversation with Medvedev, Komorovsky plans to present Polish state awards to 20 citizens of Russia, who made a great personal contribution to large -scale work in connection with the elimination of the consequences of the airline both on the place of the tragedy in Smolensk and when working with relatives of the dead in Moscow. We are talking about the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia."

The Polish troops, Polish veterans, as well as the former president of Poland, General Wojciech Yaruzelsky, who were directly involved in the hostilities, will take part in the parade on Red Square.
