Airlines in India: 158 dead

Interfax, citing a security service representative of the city of Mangalor Rochita Katiara, reports that seven people survived in total as a result of the disaster. All of them are in critical condition. Katyar said that they were all sent to the hospital.

Initially, the Indian CCNN-IBN television channel said that the first liner pilot was a Russian, but later it turned out that his name was Zlatko Glushitsa and he was a Briton of Serbian descent. According to the Russian Embassy in India, there are no Russians among the dead and injured as a result of the disaster.

According to the updated information, the disaster occurred about 06.30 local time (05.00 Moscow time). From the personnel transferred on local television it is clear that the plane was partially destroyed as a result of the accident.

It is noted that the victim crashed the plane, it was accepted into operation in January 2008. Before landing, the crew did not report any technical malfunctions on board.
