- I ask Evgeny Fedorovskaya to tell the story of a meeting with Anastasia Volochkova. Eugene went to recording the program and met with the famous ballerina on Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street.
Evgenia Fedorovskaya: This is one of such vivid trends in recent times: people began to navigate not so much on what some expensive brands, high fashion and so on show on the catwalk, but more on how their idols, Lady Gaga, someone else look. For someone, I am sure, the idol of Volochkova, which I was lucky to just meet on the street. She immediately increased my mood significantly, because she looked, of course, like a diva, at twelve in the afternoon she was all in black, with fur, with gold ornamental embroideries very rich. I am already silent about makeup, similar to tattooing. But it’s fine that there are such people in our lives. Someone may be focused on them. To whom they are guided by, I do not know, I think that on their own inner voice. Today everything is so diverse, there is a place for everything. The same can be said in principle about the public, about our partners, about our customers. People are very different, very different tastes, there is no one comb that if you need to wear broad shoulders, everything is on command of wide shoulders. God forbid, this is not.
A typical average girl is trying to pull S to her size, so that he will fit her more. Because our girls want to look as attractive as possible, more attractive than London girls or German even more so. Now it is changing, I am now summarizing what I do not like to do. But if you look at our streets and at the average length of the dresses, at the level of transparency is permissible and at the level of decoration, average makeup (I remember the same Volochkova, which in gold, with furs) is all, and it is quite stupid to deny it. This is not worth it badly. We have this Asian desire to be more elegant, as if brighter, more and more estimated.
- If we imagine that we left, for example, to South Butovo. What can be said about the fashion of such areas?
Alexander Lemeshkin: You are in vain ironic, there are absolutely no serious differences between Moscow and some cities near Moscow. Fashionable people are everywhere, they live in Butovo, and somewhere else, they do not necessarily live in the center. I would not say that the people who live in the center are exclusively supermar, stylish, as it happens in New York. In Moscow, a very large percentage, probably 70 percent, has practically no taste. People cannot just even find good clothes for themselves, in Moscow it is very little for sale. And to monitor the Internet, to look for shops such as "Click-Boutique" can be in Butovo, this is not so far, and from the suburbs you can come to the center and buy something for yourself. This is no longer a matter where you are, where you live. If you are a person with taste, you can put on some kirsy boots and look supermetly in them, and you can buy “Dolce and Gabban” and looks very gone, and live in the center or in London, no matter absolutely. Naturally, the atmosphere of the city affects how people look, but it’s hard to say about Moscow so far. There are very few stylish people.
And the southern Butovo became such a stamp where gopniks, football fans live, and many fashionistas make some story out of this, and come into fashion for training pants, shaved heads, fashionable boys play such a gop-ta, real men.
Andrei Act: If you actually decided to check what modern Butovsky guys look like, we would probably see such a Jappi on Mazds, in costume. Nevertheless, in every district of such a metropolis as Moscow, there may be its own characteristics. Each area has its own economic situation, some historical, cultural context. I am happy to spend these research with pleasure, since one London publishing house instructed me to prolong the book "Boys in Moscow". I got the task to make a series of portraits, 130 portraits of young people in Moscow, from the son of an oligarch to Tajik-gastarbeter of middle age 18-23. Accordingly, the inhabitants of Butovo, residents of Beskudnikovo, Medvedkovo - all will fall into this book. I think we will encounter during work on this project with different local dress codes that their own characteristics will have their own, everywhere you can find some of our regional Ficers. But I think, by and large, everyone in the big city tends to look luxurious, demonstrate their status, their some superiority over the same participating in a large competition. If I am talking about male male, they primarily demonstrate their prosperity, their composure, put on the watch, showing that they are so organized, put on something to emphasize their masculinity, in front of the girls surrounding them, it is also demonstrated. There is some kind of general dress code inter-district, intergalactic, which includes some symbols of power that in life, whatever one may say, are necessary in order to feel more confident, more successful in everyday city bustle.
