The alternative to the Mikhalkovsky Union of Cinematographers zealously took up the matter. The list already has more than a hundred names, of which at least forty eminent, the charter and registration documents are almost ready, and even there is already a name, very symbolic: instead of SK - KS (Kinoil). The case is small: to decide what it will exist for, what to do, where to sit down and whether to influence anything

The first and only collection of the new cinema union took place at the end of April at the journalist’s house, but the organizing committee is already working, consisting of famous directors and producers (Vladimir Osnoval, Alexei German Jr., Vitaliy Mansky, Andrey Proshkin and Boris Khlebnikov), the development of the charter was started, one of the main provisions of which is the separation of members of the community not on the principle of “bosses-uplifted”, but on Principles exclusively professional. This is despite the fact that there was a direct order of the CPSU. We exist a week without a year, but we have already managed to make a huge number of things. We receive letters from many direct participants in the film process, as Mikhalkov expresses - “forgotten and unnecessary losers”, with specific proposals for the work of a new union and confirming readiness to enter it. This means that the current state of affairs is sore, and they are with great enthusiasm. They missed the normal dialogue, to their attention to their point of view. We thought that the first congress of the cinema union, God forbid, will collect in December, now we can well have time by September. ”

In turn, on May 17, the following message appeared on the website of the official SK: “Dear members of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation. Indeed, in the absence of funding and housing, the main thing that the new organization has is human capital. In the expanded list of the Constitutional Court, the elite of Russian cinema, both emerging from the UK, and did not consist in it, but ready to support the new association. In addition to the five-mentioned surnames, these are Sokurov, German Sr., Ioseliani, Norshtein, Ryazanov, Imrabimbekov, Popogrebsky, Dondury, Plakhov, Dunya Smirnova and many others. There are completely different names in the Mikhalkovsky clip: Bondarchuk, Adabashyan, Burlyaev, Vereshchagin, Gerasimov ... In the scandalous program “Gordon Quixote” this “magnificent five” (at the gate stood Mikhalkov himself), even the lone Viktor Matizen could not shut up the belt, whose arrival was criticized by the first channel on the new film union. The main persons of the opposition organization refused to participate in the Gordon show with the official wording: “After we left the RF IC, it makes no sense to sort things out with his leadership and unconditional supporters of the abode of the abode. Care itself actually means that we have no hopes for a fruitful dialogue. ” Matizena personally dissuaded the German Jr. and Mansky, but he still disobeyed. “Well, this once again proves that our community is democratic, and everyone has the right to their actions and opinions,” the famous documentary explained to The New Times. “We do not and will not be unity of mind, barracks, as in the old SK. None of us want to dominate anyone - we just want to work. ”

And overtake America

In theory, everything is wonderful, but in practice there are many questions, answers to most of which even the organizers of the movie union do not have. The first alignment of the Organizing Committee, which is widespread on the Internet, says: “The new movie union sets himself specific creative tasks: to protect the interests of individual filmmakers, professional communities and the film community as a whole, to participate in the preparation of laws regarding cinema, to protect the film magazines, to help the reconstruction of the museum of the cinema.” In the third paragraph, the completely fantastic goal is: “One of the main tasks of the new cinema compliance is that in five years our cinema moves forward, not losing in comparison with the American and occupying its worthy place in the world.” How will all this look in practice? How to achieve? Will there be at least some solutions to the cinema union to be recognized as legitimate and by whom? What money will it exist for?
“You are running ahead of the steam locomotive,” Mansky answers these questions. - We just gathered. Give me the structure to be established. ” “The money has nothing to do with it,” says director Boris Khlebnikov, in turn. - At this stage, it was much more important for us to rally and protect ourselves. Will they listen to us? And who else to listen, as not outstanding masters recognized around the world?! By the way, I think that there will be money for such a company. ”
Obviously, the next meeting will clarify that the movie union can really build. The meeting is scheduled for June 17 in the same journalist’s house. “So far we will be there,” says Vitaly Mansky. - At the meeting, we will accept the charter, after which it will be transferred to the Ministry of Justice for registration. After that, we will solve the issue of a permanent room for meetings. Everything should go progressively. ”
