The final squads for the 2010 World Cup have been announced

On the night of June 1-2, the deadline for submitting final applications for national teams for the 2010 FIFA World Cup expired. Each team was able to enter 23 players for the world championship, including three goalkeepers. The Russian national team did not qualify for the 2010 World Cup, but 15 players from Russian clubs will go to South Africa. It is unlikely that any of them will become the hero of the World Cup, but many are capable of shining in one or two matches.

Most of the teams decided on their squads in advance: for example, the final application of the Spaniards and Argentines became known on May 20. And if the fans had no questions about the coach of the Spanish national team Vicente del Bosque, many are not ready to forgive the coach of the Argentine team Diego Maradona for refusing the services of Inter players Javier Zanetti and Esteban Cambiasso. The absence of Zanetti and Cambiasso Maradona during the 2010 World Cup will be remembered more than once, and if Argentina does not win the World Cup, they will not be forgotten many years later.

Odemwingie stopped scoring in the Russian Championship a long time ago, but the striker always played better for the national team than for the club. In the end, the World Cup is the last chance for the 28-year-old forward to “shine the spotlight” and move to a decent European team.

Only one player from a Russian club will play at the 2010 World Cup for a team that actually aspires to the championship (except for Serbia, for which, in addition to Krasic, Zenit forward Danko Lazovic will play).
