
Law enforcement agencies of the Amur Region intend to initiate a criminal case on the fact of a mass fight from one of the military enlistment offices of Blagoveshchensk, during which the police officer hit a bottle on the head.
"The mass fight occurred last Tuesday, June 8, in the morning. It was drawn to both draftees and escorting, only about 15 people. Thanks to the competent and operational actions of employees of the internal affairs bodies, the incident was quickly exhausted," the representative of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Amur Region told Interfax .
According to the interlocutor of the agency, more than 50 people gathered at the gates of the military registration and enlistment office - conscripts, their relatives and friends. Some of the present were intoxicated.
To ensure public order, the military enlistment office was on duty for an outfit of private security.
“As one of the participants in the incident later explained, the fight began almost from scratch. Because of which, no one later remembered. The police officer hit one of the draftees on the head with a bottle. After that, the affected policeman was hospitalized,” the press service spokesman said.
As the representative of the department explained, the issue of initiating a criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code, which provides for the punishment for applying violence against a representative of the authorities, is being resolved.
For such an offense, imprisonment is provided for a period of up to ten years.
The instigators of the fight were delivered to the second branch of the city’s police.
