Dear friends! We are sounding the alarm again. We have again run out of “mercy miles”, thanks to which our children can fly Aeroflot planes from home to the hospital and back for free, and our doctors can fly for bone marrow or medicines for their patients. We only have a few miles left for a few flights.

Two years ago, on June 1, 2008, a joint project of Aeroflot - Russian Airlines and the Gift of Life Foundation - Mercy Miles was launched. During the project, Aeroflot passengers have donated about 35 million miles to our fund, which is 1,321 tickets.

About 1000 children were able to get to the place of treatment from the farthest corners of our country. Most of our charges are children from very simple families, whose budget is completely depleted by the child's illness. We very often hear from parents that they have nothing to buy a ticket to come for treatment or scheduled checkups.

Miles are running out fast now. And we have to choose who to give them to and who not to. This is a very difficult choice.

We all understand: summer has come, the holiday season. You want to spend the accumulated bonus miles in order to go with family or friends to the sea, to the mountains, to Paris, New York and other beautiful cities. We wish you pleasant and exciting travels, but we ask you not to forget about our children and doctors. Their journeys are by no means always easy and pleasant, but they are saving. Please donate your miles to us. We need your mercy.
