But even in this case, the selection of Venetian, Berlin, Locarnsky, Roman ... would be lined up in line.The fact that the organizers of the MMKF made a bet on films from Eastern Europe is actually a positive trend. The countries of the former CMS should be added over time to the states of Latin America and Asia. Asian cinema is currently the most developing and easy to rise. It seems that in the space of traditional cinema now there is simply nothing to breathe. At the box office, Banksy's witty picture “Exit through the souvenir shop” is successfully at the box office. And "Uncle Bunme, who recalls his past lives" could successfully be shown in the Museum of Modern Art. Perhaps this will happen.
One of the most striking paintings by the Moscow Film Festival - the documentary “Landka” was a detailed fixation of the rally of the Brazilian artist Vika Munis. Director Lucy Walker “glued” to his hero at the moment when he only decided to make a series of portraits of people working in a city landfill. Actually, the whole film is a phased implementation of this idea. Casting , photographing, laying out portraits from garbage ... True, the director is not interested in the artjest of an individual artist, but by the influence of this event on the life of ordinary garbage collectors involved in a strange game called “Creating an object of contemporary art”. At the moment when these people see how zeros they grow at the Sotheby's auction, they sob they creep. As a result, the director receives a vivid culmination of the picture, in fact coinciding with the implementation of the artist’s plan. This film could be made by the artist himself - if he had guessed. As guessed by the leaders of The Yes Men, Andy Giglbaum and Mike Bonnano, whose brilliant tape “consonants to everything corrects the world” is a competent fixation of their own social performance from a cinema point of view.
This does not mean at all that art will save Kinomir. It is only obvious that the language of traditional gaming cinema, as well as the usual techniques of documentary (not only television, but also recently so popular “real” cinema), were devalued. Contemporary art brings a new level of game convention to the cinema. The hero of one of the most successful works shown in the MMKF out -of -competition program, the Argentine painting “Neighbor”, was the house built by the architect Le Corbusier. The object of art is represented by directors Kon and Duprat not as a background and or aesthetic seasoning to the main action. He himself is the form that structures the plot of the film. And from this the picture looks almost innovative. Although if you analyze the plot, there is nothing special in it. The only angle of the director's gaze has changed, and the acting platform looks unusual. But this is enough for the banal plot scheme to seem original. So the film concepts will definitely not hurt. Will they save?
