At the same time, the leading case of Pletnev, the investigator Omsin Sukkankha told the agency that the investigation did not discover the connection of Pletnev with the underground network of distribution of children's pornography.

The accusations were brought to him on the basis of the testimony of a local citizen claiming that he allegedly acted as an intermediary in the organization for Pletnev of paid sexual services.

Pletnev himself in an interview with the newspaper Pattaya Daily News said that pornographic materials could be in his computer without his knowledge. Pletnev told the newspaper that for many years he was familiar with the previously arrested by Thai Typehop Bunphason, he knew him as an amateur artist, but had no idea about his illegal business.

According to Pletnev, the police discovered on his personal computer only one photograph of himself and his Thai acquaintance, which was taken several years ago in Switzerland. The investigators went to Pletnev after the arrest of the 40-year-old Typehop Bunphasong. After interrogating the attacker, the police came to the musician the next day.
