Pletnev himself rejected all the accusations, and suggested that pornography fell into his computer besides his will - thanks to his acquaintance of Thai musician Triphop Bunphasong, who was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the organization of children's prostitution. Pletnev noted that he did not know about the criminal classes of his comrade; According to the Russian conductor, the Tatsa had access to his computer. Earlier it was reported that it was Bunphasong who, after detention, brought the police to Pletnev.

According to Pletnev, the police found only one of his photographs in the computer. At the same time, the Taysu, who was depicted next to him, was about 25 years old at the time of shooting, the musician said. Pletnev called his arrest a misunderstanding and promised to cooperate with the investigation in order to relieve himself of suspicions. It was reported that, if guilty, the Russian faces up to 20 years in prison.

Pletnev said that he first arrived in Thailand 13 years ago. Since then, he bought two houses there, organized a badmintic sports club and built a pool. The media reported that the musician also founded a music school in the country, but the conductor himself denied this information.
