After a collision with China, the Kremlin ordered an expert study on the “phenomenon of the success of Chinese exporters” in the Egyptian weapons market. Experts believe that soon China will seriously complicate Moscow trade in weapons due to the cheapness of the products of its military -industrial complex, reports Gazeta.ru .
An application for the implementation of research work on the topic "Features of the strategy and tactics of Chinese weapons and military equipment exporters and military equipment: the phenomenon of success and the main competitive advantages" is located on July 7 of the Presidential Administration on the public procurement website and the price of the contract - 200 thousand rubles. The results of the study will be used to prepare a report to the president.
- China created a "pirate" copy of the Su-33, solving secret technologies of the Russian Federation
-Iran can switch to Chinese weapons due to problems with Russian S-300
- The Russian Federation lost my first place in the rating of weapons merchants
According to the application, it is necessary to develop for the presidential administration "proposals for the use of the studied features of the strategy and tactics of Chinese weapons exporters identified the main competitive advantages." The authors should compare the military-technical cooperation system of Russia and China, "including state regulation mechanisms" to identify the features that create competitive advantages to Chinese exporters. Separately, you need to study how Chinese exporters work in those markets that Russia considers its own.
As indicated in the application, the result of the study should be proposals on the reform of the legal framework “governing the sphere of the WTS of Russia with foreign states”.
According to experts of the publication, this is the second signal that Moscow begins to perceive Beijing as a real competitor in the arms market, if not current, then potential.
Recall that the first signal was the recent letter of the head of the RSK MiG and AHK “Sukhoi” Mikhail Poghosyan to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation and the “Rosoboronexport”, in which he opposed the signing of a new large contract for the supply of Russian RD-93 jet engines, which are equipped with the Chinese-Pakistani FC-1 fighters (B. Pakistani version - JF -17). The contract for the supply of 100 RD-93 engines to China was planned to be signed by May. However, Poghosyan believes that the FC-1 is a direct competitor to the Russian MiG-29 .
For several years, Russia has been negotiating with Egypt for the supply of up to 40 MiG-29 SMT fighters. Cairo leads the same negotiations with both China and Pakistan-about the joint production of Chinese JF-17 (FC-1) fighters in Egypt. Apparently, the Chinese and Pakistanis reached progress in negotiations.
According to experts, the FC-1 is significantly inferior to the MiG-29 in characteristics, but it is cheaper-about $ 10 million against $ 35 million. Poghosyan insists that technology re -export should be agreed with final manufacturers so that he does not damage them.
Experts admit that although the story with a fighter is almost the only case of competition of products of the military -industrial complex of China and Russia, Beijing is progressing quickly. As Mikhail Barabanov, the chief editor of the Moscow Defense Brief magazine, reminded the publication, Venezuela purchased K-8 training aircraft recently from Beijing.
Dmitry Vasiliev noted the editor -in -chief of the Export Export of Arms, so far China makes mainly copies of Russian weapons and sells them to the poorest African countries. In addition, China is less than Russia, worried about the image and sells weapons in the conflict zones. In this regard, experts say, a serious question arises about the possibility of China Iran, a copy of the S-300 air defense system after Russia refused to sell the Iran complex due to the adoption of the UN Security Council of new sanctions, and China did not make any statements on this score.
Experts also doubt the effectiveness of the ordered study, since China has already mastered many Russian military technologies and is ready to sell them independently as their own. And to organize opposition is unrealistic primarily for political reasons.
