
The organizers of the world championship in the Slovakia on Friday for one day interrupted the competition to honor the memory of the deceased on the eve of the Russian glider Alexander Martynov, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the organizers, Alexander Martynov, piloting his glider, crashed 20 kilometers northeast of the city of Pryvidz in the central part of the country. The Commission of the Ministry of Transport is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Competitions in Slovakia will last until July 18. It should be noted that during the championship a number of incidents were recorded, including clashes of gliders in the air.
