The Iranian parliament has legislatively defended the country's nuclear program

Majlis (parliament) of Iran on Sunday with a majority vote approved a bill obliging the country's government to create an independent and self -sufficient program for the development of "peaceful nuclear technologies", the country's state media said.

"The Islamic Consultative Assembly approved a bill on the fencing of nuclear achievements to withstand the conspiracies of the United States and Great Britain in this direction," the report emphasizes.

In particular, the bill grants the government the authority to impede the "actions of those countries that strive to conduct inspections at Iranian facilities or refuse to provide fuel to the aircraft of our country," the message is indicated.

The draft law is comprehensive and consists of five articles located within the framework of Iran’s obligations under an agreement on non -proliferation of nuclear weapons.

The bill was adopted due to the fact that recently the Security Council of the UN and the USA, along with a number of European states, took measures aimed at the termination of the Iranian peaceful nuclear program, the report said.
