Russian boxer Dmitry Pirog won the vacant world champion title according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in the weight category of 72.6 kg. In a 12-rang match tonight in Las Vegas (USA, Nevada), he won the American Daniel Jacobs with a technical knockout in the 5th round.

From the very first seconds, the Russian began to attack the first number, forcing the opponent to actively move around the ring, and already in the second round the advantage of Dmitry was clearly outlined. At the beginning of the second three -minute, he managed to catch the opponent in the corner and after a series of strokes, he almost found himself on the floor, with difficulty standing on his feet.

In the third round, Jackobs came to his senses and, due to more active actions, managed to win the round. However, the pie did not give the initiative and continued to attack in the fourth round without lowering a high pace.

An unexpected denouement came in the fifth round. The cake managed to get to the opponent at the near distance and sent him to the floor to the right with a powerful blow to the right. Jackobs lay motionless for a few seconds, after which the judge decided to stop the battle and award the Russian victory with a technical knockout.

Thus, 30 -year -old Dmitry Pie became the only representative of Russia - the owner of the belt according to one of the prestigious versions. Since November 2009, Russians have not been among the world champions in four versions. The last was Nikolai Valuev, who lost to British David Hey the title of champion according to the World Boxing Association (WBA) in heavyweight.

The pie does not know defeats in his 5 -year career - now there are 17 victories (14 by knockout). Prior to that, he owned a champion of Russia and four regional titles on two prestigious versions.
