A police patrol was shot in Grozny - two officers killed

Two police officers died in Chechnya during the operational-search measures, Interfax told by telephone in law enforcement agencies of the republic.

"In the vicinity of the village of Chernorechye, Zavodskoy district of the Grozny, when working out operational information on the search for participants in illegal armed groups, unknown persons from the forest massif fired at the police patrol service. The police opened the fire. The criminals managed to hide," the agency’s interlocutor said.

According to him, during a clashes, firearms received wounds and, when delivered to the hospital, the head of the police department in the village of Chernorechye, Lieutenant Zambek Sangariev, and the company commander of the police officer Khasmagomed Israilov died.

In the area of ​​the incident, the Volcan-2 and Vulcan-3 plan was introduced, additional forces were mobilized to comb the area. “Traces of blood have been discovered. Events on the search for criminals are ongoing,” law enforcement agencies emphasized.
