Holland began the withdrawal of its troops from Afghanistan

On Sunday, August 1, the military presence of the Netherlands in Afghanistan ends as part of the International Military Coalition.

For four years, the Dutch contingent, numbering almost two thousand people, was considered one of the most effective among foreign forces, the British television and radio broadcasting corporation reports.

NATO representatives are trying not to attach great importance to this, but journalists believe that difficult times are coming for the coalition -losses will grow, and doubts arise about the correctness of the strategy, the Air Force notes.

In Afghanistan there are 80 thousand American military and more than 30 thousand military from other countries.

Canadian troops leave the country next year, and the British military presence will end by 2015.
