
The Russian synchronizer Natalya Ishchenko won the gold medal in the competitions of soloists at the European Championship in Water Sports, which takes place in Budapest.
The performance of the Olympic champion in the final of the competitions appreciated at 98,900 points. Silver went to the Spaniard Andrea Fuentes (96,600), Ukrainian Lolita Pisanasova took third place (93,000). After the performance, the champion said that the victory in this tournament was her main goal since the victory at the championship of the planet.
“Last year, I became the world champion in Rome, therefore, naturally, I hoped for victory and Budapest,” Ishchenko said. “But everything is very high in sports - it was very high. Therefore, it was very important to concentrate in my speech.”
Recall that this gold was the second for the Russian national team in the overall standings of the championship.
