The military prosecutor's office of the Moscow Military District conducted an investigation into the mass brawl in the 4th Tank Brigade (Kantemirovskaya Division) in early July, reports the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. Based on the results of the inspection, the chief of staff of the unit located near Naro-Fominsk, the deputy commander for educational affairs and six other officers were brought to disciplinary liability, and two unit commanders were presented for dismissal.

Criminal cases have been initiated against three participants in the mass brawl (their names have not been released). As the prosecutor's office established, on July 4-5, a conflict occurred in a group of about 20 conscript soldiers at the unit's location. The report emphasizes that some of them were drafted from the North Caucasus. A fight broke out and lasted for about half an hour.

The prosecutor's office notes that none of the participants in the fight were significantly injured. One of the reasons for the incident is said to be the improper performance of their duties by the leadership of the tank brigade.

The mass brawl in the military unit became known from posted a video from the scene on Youtube. The video shows that more than fifty soldiers are moving on the parade ground, some of them are fighting, some are lying on the concrete. Judging by the comments of the authors of the video, the people from the North Caucasus were stronger in the fight.

According to Komsomolskaya Pravda , the cause of the fight was a conflict the day before the events described, that is, on July 4, in a local club between soldiers from Dagestan and Russian military personnel. The conflicting parties agreed to sort out their relationship in the evening the next day on the parade ground, but the fight began in the afternoon. The publication's source claimed that a large group of Dagestani soldiers attacked six servicemen, which was the start of the fight. Subsequently, other soldiers arrived on the parade ground, but the advantage remained in favor of immigrants from the North Caucasus.

It was reported that 10 soldiers were hospitalized after the fight. According to the prosecutor's office, none of them were seriously injured.
