
Almost 1.5 thousand settlements are de-energized in the north-west of Russia due to the passage of a cold front with a squallproof strengthening of the wind. It is reported by ITAR-TASS with reference to the information management of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
The day before, a cold front, accompanied by strong gusts of wind, passed through the territory of a number of subjects of the North-West Federal District.
"As a result, in the Leningrad, Novgorod, Pskov and Vologda regions, 1490 settlements were de -energized, in which 93 thousand 841 people live," the representative of the ministry said.
He noted that all social facilities are transferred to reserve power sources.
Repair brigades work in the injured regions, which eliminate the consequences of the passage of the Thunderstorm.
