A network of floating hotels may appear in the inland water bodies of Russia, the CIS and Europe in the next five years, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Turinfo newspaper.
The project, which started in the spring of 2010, was initiated by a group of production Russian companies-Akhtel-design, Rospolimer, Restrom-M. Until 2015, it is planned to build about 150 floating hotels.
Each hotel is five or six-six cottages, united by a unified service service (restaurant service, cleaning room, reservation system).
Currently in Moscow, the production of pontoons for cottages has begun. Each "house on the water" - from 15 to 18 meters in length and seven meters in width - will consist of heated closed rooms with an area of 30 to 40 square meters. The height of the side above the water level will be more than 0.7 meters. The cottage has a bedroom, living room, kitchen, a bathroom (with a system of cleaning sewage drains) and shower.
For each floating cottage, a pier is “attached” for four small vessels - motor boats, hydraulic cycers or small motor or sailing yachts. Currently, the company has already launched a special ship designed for short walks on the water with the possibility of an overnight stay.
“According to the classification, our floating hotel refers to small vessels, therefore it will be impossible to certify it according to the generally accepted hotel classification system. As for geography, the cottages are designed to travel along rivers and lakes, but not by the sea,” said Grigory Astashev, general director of the Aktel -Design, which is the project developer.
As RIA Novosti recalls, in May, the company "Poseidon-Marin" announced plans to open the first floating hotel created on the debrkader in St. Petersburg. Floating hotels and recreation centers are already operating on the Volga, on the territory of the Trans -Baikal National Park.
